  • Turning in Assignments on the Mac (Thursday, June 14, 2018)

Blackboard, Inc. reports that some students using Safari on Macs have had trouble turning in assignments. We regret the inconvenience and intend to have a fix installed before fall term. If this affects you, here are some things to try:

    • When turning in assignments on the Mac, try using Firefox or Chrome instead of Safari.
    • Smartphone users can try turning in assignments with the Blackboard app. Android | iPhone/iPad | Windows
    • Try using a different computer. Computers are available at MCC Learning and Tutoring Centers, Do Space, and public libraries, for example.

Please call Blackboard Support at 531-622-2834 with any questions you may have.

  • Welcome to Blackboard at MCC (Thursday, June 14, 2018)

MCC’s credit online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses are delivered via Blackboard.

The Summer (18SS) quarter runs from June 6, 2018 until August 15, 2018.

Access active courses from My Courses on the Blackboard Home page. If you don't see a course, it will appear on its Start Date and disappear after its End Date.

When will I have access to Blackboard?

Students enrolled in their first online, hybrid or web-enhanced course will be added to Blackboard 30 days prior to the start of a new quarter. If you are not enrolled in a course using Blackboard you will not have access. See the academic calendar for quarter start dates.

Starting 30 days before the quarter begins, students who register will be added to Blackboard twice a day, at 8:00am and 8:00pm CDT. If you just registered and you can’t login to Blackboard, try again after the next update.

When will I see my courses in Blackboard?

Students see their courses listed in Blackboard under "My Courses" on each course's Start Date. For online courses, this is always the first day of the term. For other courses, the Start Date may vary. Unless their instructors inform them otherwise, students can expect to access their Blackboard courses until the courses' End Dates.

Login to Blackboard with your MCC username, not your full email address.

To login to MyWay and Student Email/Office 365 your username is your full student email address, but to login to Blackboard just enter your username, not your full email address.

Here's a link to the Login Examples page. You can contact the Help Desk if you have trouble logging in.

    Disability Support Services

MCC is committed to the accessibility of our online courses and makes reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act/Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. If you have a documented disability that may affect your participation in an online course, please contact a Disability Support Services counselor before the course begins.

  • Course/Instructor Feedback (Wednesday, June 20, 2018)

You are invited to provide feedback for all your online and hybrid courses this quarter, and for any on-campus classes selected by your dean and communicated to you..  Your feedback is completely confidential and anonymous.  You may submit feedback once for each course.  All information is reported back to the instructor in report form approximately three weeks after the term is over, without individual student information provided.  We hope you will take a few minutes to provide your opinions.

To begin the process please login to MCC MyWay and under the College Links tab click on ‘Course/Instructor Feedback’.

The feedback form is available this quarter from June 21, 2018 to August 9, 2018.  You cannot submit feedback after August 9.
