System Announcements

  • Welcome to Blackboard at MCC (Wednesday, April 8, 2015)

MCC’s credit online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses are delivered via Blackboard.

The Spring (14SP) quarter runs from March 6 to May 21, 2015.

Access active courses from My Courses on the Blackboard Home page. If you don't see a course, it will appear on its Start Date and disappear after its End Date..

  • When will I have access to Blackboard? (Wednesday, April 8, 2015)

Students enrolled in their first online, hybrid or web-enhanced course will be added to Blackboard 30 days prior to the start of a new quarter. If you are not enrolled in a course using Blackboard you will not have access. See the academic calendar for quarter start dates.
Starting 30 days before the quarter begins, students who register will be added to Blackboard twice a day, at 8:00am and 8:00pm CDT. If you just registered and you can’t login to Blackboard, try again after the next update.

  • Login to Blackboard with your MCC username, not your full email address (Wednesday, April 8, 2015)

MCC recently changed the way users login to MyWay and Student Email/Office 365, but to login to Blackboard you only need to enter your username, not your full email address.

Here's a link to the Login Examples page.  You can contact the Help Desk if you have trouble logging in.

  • Email sent from Blackboard now displays correct sender information (Wednesday, April 8, 2015)

*UPDATE* Email sent from Blackboard now accurately displays the sender's return email address.  The issue described below has been fixed:

A recent issue with Blackboard’s email relay servers caused emails sent by our users from blackboard.mccneb.edu to inaccurately display the sender information as Donotreply@blackboard.com.

However, if the recipient replies to the email in outlook/office365 the sender information displays correctly in the reply and the original sender will receive the reply.

So this issue was not preventing correspondence, but it did cause some confusion.

  • Disability Support Services (Wednesday, August 20, 2014)

MCC is committed to the accessibility of our online courses and makes reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act/Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. If you have a documented disability that may affect your participation in an online course, please contact a Disability Support Services counselor before the course begins.
